THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Mapping and Perception Team at NavVis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our innovative mobile indoor mapping system.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art software testing methodologies and processes to advance the quality of our products.
  • Conduct manual tests for software releases, including regular and exploratory testing, across various platforms.
  • Design, specify, and develop test strategies, dashboards, and reports to enable frequent releases of high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure high-quality work and implementation of effective tests.
  • Validate reported bugs, perform data analysis, and interpret test results to drive improvement.
  • Prioritize, debug, and monitor bugs to expedite the process in a fast-paced product development environment.
  • Reduce manual testing efforts by automating tests and closing gaps in our testing processes.
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including support and services.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A strong ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise, and structured manner.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with test execution, quality assurance processes, and issue tracking.
  • Proficiency in Linux and its command line interface.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and work with embedded software, desktop software, and cloud applications.
  • Fluency in English.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of test automation using scripting languages.
  • ISTQB certification is highly valued.
  • Experience in software development, particularly in C++ and related tools.
  • A background in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related fields.
