Quality Assurance Engineer for Robotics Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Robotics team at NavVis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative mobile indoor mapping system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art software testing methodologies and processes to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Conduct manual tests for software releases, including exploratory testing, to identify and report defects.
  • Design, develop, and implement test strategies, test dashboards, and reports to enable frequent releases of high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure high-quality work and implementation of high-quality tests.
  • Validate reported bugs, perform data analysis, and interpret test results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prioritize, debug, and monitor bugs to speed up the process in a fast-paced product development environment.
  • Reduce manual testing efforts by automating tests and improving test efficiency.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other teams, including support and services, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality products.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to communicate in a structured, concise, and clear manner to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with test execution and quality assurance processes, including test case planning, issue tracking, regression, and isolation testing.
  • Experience with Linux and its command line.
  • Experience in at least one scripting language, such as Python.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and work with embedded software, desktop software, and cloud applications.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in test automation using scripting languages, such as Python.
  • ISTQB certification is highly appreciated.
  • Some experience in software development, such as C++ and related tools.
  • A background in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related areas.
