Job Title: SDN & Packet Network Engineer

Colt Technology Services is seeking a highly skilled SDN & Packet Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, providing technical support to customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, including faults, errors, and performance degradation.
  • Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of network-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network operations, field maintenance, and technical assistance center, to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of network technologies, including SDN, packet networking, and network management systems.
  • Participate in a 24/7 shift pattern, providing on-call support as required.
Requirements:
  • Direct experience in SDN, packet networking, and network management systems.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and ISIS.
  • Experience with implementing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting IP access, MPLS, and VPN solutions.
  • Knowledge of LAN (Ethernet) based products and experience with UNIX-based applications and troubleshooting tools.
  • Fluent in German and English.
