FTTH Site Engineer Opportunity
European Tech Recruit is collaborating with a leading Telecom company in search of an FTTH Site Engineer to enhance their operational team.
In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing construction site activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and effective communication among all parties involved. Proficiency in both English and German is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering processes, quality assurance, and environmental health and safety (EHS) matters at the construction site.
- Perform quality assessments on-site, especially for hidden construction elements, and maintain thorough documentation of findings.
- Stop any non-compliant or hazardous site activities and escalate engineering concerns as necessary.
- Keep a daily log of engineering advancements and challenges.
- Engage with clients, subcontractors, and local residents to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Supervise the allocation of resources by subcontractors on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in the telecommunications engineering sector.
- Familiarity with Outside Plant (OSP) and Optical Distribution Network (ODN) technologies, including FTTx, GPON, and MSAN.
- Understanding of local engineering regulations, standards, and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Fluency in English and German.
