Crytek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environment Artist to join our Hunt: Showdown team. As a key member of our art team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, photorealistic environments within CRYENGINE.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with lead artists and other team members to ensure consistency in environment asset creation.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our game's style guide to guarantee consistency in asset creation.
- Create believable and immersive environments that meet the technical limitations of CRYENGINE.
- Design and implement game-ready assets that meet the project's requirements.
- Supervise and mentor junior artists to help them grow professionally.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback to ensure high-quality results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and platforms to achieve the best possible results.
- Work closely with inter-disciplinary teams, including level designers and tech-art, to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with other studio groups to ensure timely completion of tasks and high-quality results.
- 5+ years of experience in game development, with a strong focus on environment art.
- Expert understanding of current game art processes, limitations, and dependencies.
- Strong ability to create believable, realistic environments in a real-time engine.
- Proficiency in 3ds Max or Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter, and Zbrush.
- Strong knowledge of common real-time game engines.
- Established interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and supervise mid-level and junior artists.
- Good English communication and writing skills.
- Positive, problem-solving, and team-oriented attitude.
