Wholesale Operations Manager

Position: Commercial Manager
Location: Hamburg
Prax Group is embarking on an exciting journey to establish a new wholesale entity following the acquisition of PCK Refinery GmbH from Shell Deutschland. This initiative will focus on the trading of crude oil and refined products.
We are looking for a Commercial Manager to become an integral part of our Hamburg team.
The Commercial Manager will be essential in overseeing the distribution of refining outputs within the regional market while working in tandem with the London Trading team to maximize profit margins.
Furthermore, this role entails a deep understanding of the supply and demand factors affecting OIL and PCK Refinery, as well as staying informed about market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing all supply chain and logistics functions for the OIL network across Europe, with a focus on expanding wholesale and resale operations.
- Collaborating with international trading teams based in London and acting as the company’s representative in local markets.
- Negotiating supply agreements to secure advantageous pricing and strengthen market positioning.
- Enhancing supply chain efficiencies, including logistics and biofuel components.
- Partnering with the OIL business to formulate and implement growth strategies.
- Leading initiatives aimed at driving operational efficiency and business growth.
Essential Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain and B2B environments.
- Established connections within local markets.
- Proven leadership and change management capabilities.
- Understanding of trends in energy transition.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
