Position: Principal Business Consultant

Project Overview: Projects Argo and TIFM

Role Context:

The Principal Business Consultant position is integral to the transition of systems to S/4 Hana, emphasizing the innovative technology landscape within the ARGO initiative. This role involves SAP methodologies at Team TIFM (including Modules CS/PM and others) and aids the client's shift to S/4 Hana, particularly in the domain of facility management (TFM, OM, IFM). The consultant will collaborate closely with business divisions to pinpoint and execute business necessities while crafting and delivering effective solutions.

Required Services:

Business Analysis:

  • Examine and identify business workflows to reveal inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
  • Design and propose solutions that fulfill business needs while ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Confirm solutions to validate alignment with the client's business objectives.

Consulting Expertise:

  • Deliver expert advice on the technical assessment of requirements within the SAP PM framework, focusing on facility management (TFM, OM, IFM) and SAP standard applications.
  • Collaborate with business units to recognize and fulfill business requirements.
  • Develop training resources in partnership with the relevant responsible business units of the client.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Engage with development teams and other stakeholders within the client organization to realize solutions in accordance with client specifications.

Project Details:

Location:

  • The primary service delivery is based in Germany. Services are mainly conducted onshore, with any external service provision requiring prior client approval, ensuring any cost benefits are relayed to the project. Services outside the EU are generally not anticipated.
  • Regular on-site engagements are not planned, except when necessary for technical discussions.

Technical Requirements:

Experience:

  • SAP Modules:
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in consulting across two of the SAP modules (CS/PM/SD/PS/MM).
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in the maintenance of fixed installations within railway companies (EVUs).
  • Facility Management:
  • Familiarity with business processes in Technical Facility Management (TFM), including Object Management (OM) and Infrastructural Facility Management (IFM).
  • Experience in strategic considerations related to maintenance in facility management (e.g., system uptime, minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance costs).
  • Industry Insight:
  • Demonstrated 3 years of experience in logistics projects within EVUs.

Skills:

  • Methodological Expertise:
  • Proven track record in business process analysis and design (minimum of 4 years).
  • Experience in formulating concepts for integrating IFM services into SAP PM, particularly in the railway sector.
  • Presentation and Workshop Facilitation:
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in presenting, evaluating, and articulating solution options, as well as organizing and leading workshops.
