Your Role:
As a key member of the Global Regulatory and Public Affairs team, you will address all facets of regulatory and public affairs matters for Lilium across Europe and beyond. This role involves navigating challenges, capitalizing on opportunities, and contributing to groundbreaking initiatives.
The company is pioneering an innovative concept by developing an all-electric vertical take-off and landing jet, which promises exceptional capacity, minimal noise, and high performance with zero emissions, aiming to revolutionize Regional Air Mobility in urban settings.
In this capacity, you will be instrumental in shaping new regulations concerning air operations, pilot licensing, airspace integration, and infrastructure, among other critical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute Lilium's regulatory and policy strategy.
- Engage with regulators, authorities, and policymakers in Europe and globally to influence the regulatory landscape for eVTOL aircraft and electric aviation.
- Monitor and analyze relevant policy and regulatory developments at various levels.
- Draft and advocate for policy papers, representing Lilium in trade associations and other relevant forums.
- Communicate Lilium's interests to elected officials and regulatory bodies.
Your Qualifications:
- Strong academic foundation in law, economics, politics, or a related field; experience in aviation law is highly advantageous.
- Advanced business experience, including MBA or relevant consulting experience.
- Over five years of significant experience in regulatory and/or public affairs, with exposure to high-level decision-makers.
- Proven background in aviation or passenger transportation sectors.
- Demonstrated success in effective regulatory adaptations.
- Experience collaborating with elected officials.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German or other languages is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to cultivate positive relationships across various organizational levels.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
