Supplier Quality Control Specialist

Position Overview:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain by ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest standards of product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the quality of products and processes provided by suppliers.
- Analyze supplier quality metrics, initiate complaints, and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Assist suppliers in resolving quality-related issues effectively.
- Validate and initiate chargebacks to suppliers concerning scrap, rework, and incurred failure costs.
- Conduct analyses aimed at enhancing processes at supplier facilities in collaboration with SQD and other stakeholders.
- Support the approval of purchased components and production processes for new products or modifications, including auditing processes in conjunction with SQD.
- Evaluate initial sample releases and make decisions regarding their inclusion in mass production during the product launch phase.
- Engage in product and process FMEA activities throughout the PEP for purchased components.
- Enhance quality standards, processes, and concepts at suppliers to improve quality, cost-efficiency, and delivery reliability.
Qualifications:
- Degree in manufacturing, production technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in quality management, particularly in supplier oversight.
- Proficient in quality methodologies, preferably with Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
- Strong technical background in process/project management and quality management systems, with in-depth knowledge of production processes, especially in electronics and an additional technology.
- Certified process auditor according to VDA6.3 standards.
- Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
- Proficient in IT tools, including SAP and MS Office.
- Demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills across various organizational levels.
- Strong collaborative skills, diplomatic assertiveness, and advanced training and facilitation abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
