Job Summary

The Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Engineer to join our team at the Munich Marriott City West. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the overall technical operations of the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Manage the hotel's energy consumption and implement strategies to reduce energy costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and fire protection regulations.
  • Lead the technical team and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's technical systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest experience.
  • Manage the hotel's technical budget and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in building services, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in English, with a working knowledge of German.
  • Valid work permit for the EU/Germany.
