Position: Surface Coating Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Applying primer and paint to components and assemblies within a manufacturing setting
- Monitoring expiration dates, ensuring completeness, and assessing for damages
- Verifying availability of parts and materials, and reporting any shortages
- Setting up and preparing test and painting fixtures
- Preparing materials and surfaces in accordance with specifications
- Identifying and resolving issues as they arise
- Carrying out basic maintenance and cleaning duties
- Utilizing solvent-based cleaners for part cleaning
- Applying adhesion promoters following manufacturer guidelines
- Thawing and mixing sealant materials as necessary
- Positioning and covering components as instructed
- Operating the sealant gun with appropriate air pressure
- Applying sealants to various components
- Smoothing sealants using a spatula
- Conducting visual inspections and transferring components to the oven
- Adhering to specific instructions for each task
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of technical vocational training in Painting and Coating Technology or a related field
- Extensive experience in surface coating, treatment, and spray painting
- Willingness to work in a 3-shift schedule and availability for overtime
- Detail-oriented and organized work style
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
