About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join our team at A100 ROW GmbH. As a key member of our AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for managing a team of facility staff, overseeing the operation and maintenance of our data centers, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Set and maintain the highest standards for safety and promote a world-class safety culture.
  • People: Hire, manage, develop, and coach a team of line-level facility staff, collaborate with other team managers, and manage vendors and vendor contracting negotiations.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Manage electrical and mechanical equipment, implement strategic preventative maintenance and corrective break-fix planning, and prepare for and manage the team through facility infrastructure incident management plans.

Requirements
  • An engineering degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large-scale services
  • At least 2 years of team management experience
  • Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects
  • Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team and/or product
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data Center Engineering or Mission Critical Facility Management/Engineering Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Capacity planning and budgetary experience
