Engineering Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join our team at A100 ROW GmbH. As a key member of our Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for managing a team of facility staff, overseeing the operation and maintenance of our data centers, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.
Key Responsibilities- Safety: Set and maintain the highest standards for safety and promote a world-class safety culture.
- People: Hire, manage, develop, and coach a team of line-level facility staff, collaborate with other team managers, and manage vendors and vendor contracting negotiations.
- Operations and Maintenance: Manage electrical and mechanical equipment, implement strategic preventative maintenance and corrective break-fix planning, and prepare for and manage the team through facility infrastructure incident management plans.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
Basic Qualifications- An engineering degree or equivalent.
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large-scale services.
- At least 2 years of team management experience.
- Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.
- Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team and/or product.
- Experience in mission-critical operations environments (e.g., nuclear facility, high technology manufacturing, healthcare, aviation maintenance, oil and gas).
- Experience preferably linked to a 24/7 uninterrupted operations environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
