Position Overview: Proposals Engineering Specialist
We are seeking a Proposals Engineering Specialist to become a vital member of our Technology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of information received from Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and the Licensing Department.
- Coordinate and lead internal meetings to define the nature of RFP responses, content of deliverables, and sales strategies.
- Develop tailored technical proposals, ensuring quality and content, including plant layout determination, process descriptions, PFDs, equipment sizing lists, NPV, and capital cost estimations, along with process guarantees.
- Collaborate closely with various departments to compile the final proposal.
- Manage and monitor timelines and milestones from initiation to delivery, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements.
- Engage in technical discussions and represent the company in face-to-face meetings and video conferences.
- Support the Licensing Department throughout the entire sales process.
- Drive ongoing proposal process simplification efforts and tool development to enhance productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, project work, licensing, and/or preparation of technical proposals within the petrochemical sector.
- Experience in polymer technology is advantageous.
- Strong customer focus and a structured, diligent working style.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes during the proposal phase.
- Flexibility and resilience under pressure.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
