Internship in Audit – Insurance Sector

Position Overview:

As an intern at Mazars GmbH & Co. KG, you will engage in a variety of tasks related to financial reporting and assessment, assisting in annual and consolidated audits in compliance with HGB and IFRS standards for entities within the financial services sector. You will also have the chance to take part in specialized audits, internal reviews, consulting projects related to audits, and tax advisory services for our clientele. We will collaboratively determine the projects that align with your interests and strengths, ensuring your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support in the execution of audits and evaluations for clients in the insurance domain.
  • Participate in special audit assignments and internal assessments.
  • Contribute to audit-related consulting initiatives and tax advisory projects.
  • Engage with current issues, regulations, and standards, particularly regarding ESG and sustainability in the auditing field.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally with a concentration in auditing, accounting, taxation, or insurance.
  • Demonstrated motivation, curiosity, and proactive engagement, with a keen interest in the insurance sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Preferably, some prior experience through relevant internships or vocational training.
  • Proficient in German and possess good English language skills.
  • Availability for a minimum of three months for the internship.
