Internship in Audit – Insurance Sector

Position Overview:

As an intern at Mazars GmbH & Co. KG, you will engage in a variety of tasks related to financial reporting and valuation, while supporting year-end and consolidated audits in accordance with HGB and IFRS standards for clients in the financial services sector. You will also have the chance to be involved in specialized audits, internal reviews, consulting projects related to audits, and tax advisory services for our clientele. Based on your aspirations, we will collaboratively determine the projects where you can leverage your interests and strengths for optimal personal development.

Furthermore, the growing significance of ESG and sustainability in the auditing and consulting landscape presents you with the opportunity to explore contemporary issues, regulations, and standards in practice. From day one, you will be an integral part of client engagements and project teams, gaining insights into the daily operations of an auditing and consulting firm while establishing valuable connections for your professional network.

Candidate Profile:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally with a concentration in auditing, accounting, taxation, or insurance
  • Demonstrated motivation, curiosity, initiative, and a keen interest in the insurance sector
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
  • Preferably some prior experience through relevant internships or vocational training
  • Proficient in German and possess good English language skills
  • Available for a minimum duration of 3 months for the internship
