About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Breeding Information Specialist to join our team at KWS SAAT SE. As a key member of our Breeding Information Team, you will be responsible for managing documentation, maintaining data, providing user support, training, and implementing software solutions for various crop species.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process maps, quality management handbooks, and data lexicons.
  • Create user-friendly documentation, presentations, and videos to facilitate the adoption of software tools in breeding.
  • Preserve historical data sets and perform data transformations to adapt to new software tools.
  • Support the implementation of software solutions for all crops in breeding stations.
  • Provide first-level support for software tools used in breeding.
  • Manage document libraries in collaborative repositories (Sharepoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Assist in coordinating team activities, including meetings, events, calendars, onboarding, and more.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, digitalization, and automation of document and knowledge management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biological sciences, computer science, or related fields.
  • Experience in documentation and/or information management.
  • Experience in representing processes using professional tools (Visio, Signavio, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools for creating e-learning content (e.g., WalkMe, Camtasia, Stream, etc.).
  • Knowledge of plant breeding processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), German, or other languages are an asset.
  • Motivated to implement digital tools.
  • Service-oriented, structured, organized, and team-oriented.
