We are seeking an Intern in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field (f/m/d) for our Communications and Navigation institute, specifically within the Satellite Networks department. Your fresh insights into integrated communication and sensing technologies in industrial IoT will be invaluable.

What you will experience:

Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) is set to revolutionize future 6G networks. By utilizing radio signals or sensors, we can identify and analyze characteristics of objects in the surroundings, transforming the network into a sophisticated 'radar' system. This innovation introduces new challenges in the efficient allocation of resources between sensing and communication functions.

We will focus on industrial IoT applications where autonomous robots execute tasks. You will be tasked with designing and refining ISAC algorithms to facilitate movement coordination and collision avoidance, delving into a captivating area of research.

What we are looking for:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
  • Familiarity with layer 2 protocols is advantageous (medium access control)
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python programming
