We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our team at Midea Europe GmbH. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development of our downdraft induction cooktops in the European market.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: You will be the technical expert on downdraft induction cooktops, responsible for understanding and uncovering European customer needs and translating them into product technical requirements.
- Product Development: You will drive product development for the European market, coordinating with global R&D and sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Product Lifecycle Management: You will manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including product design, development, testing, and production.
- Market Intelligence: You will monitor the cooktop industry for emerging trends and regulatory changes, proactively adjusting and/or developing product technical strategies as needed.
- Competitive Intelligence: You will provide regular reports on competitive intelligence research activities and work with business teams to plan products accordingly.
- Product Testing: You will conduct product performance tests as per local standards and/or requirements of customers.
- Compliance and Certification: You will lead and/or facilitate product compliance and certification processes.
- Commercialisation: You will support commercialisation efforts, including new customer onboarding, trainings, expos, and other events.
- Strategic Planning: You will participate actively in product and technology strategic planning.
- External Collaboration: You will drive external R&D collaboration to explore disruptive product innovation opportunities.
- Lab Management: You will manage the cooktop testing laboratory.
- Education: You hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent related experience.
- Technical Experience: You have 7+ years' technical experience in kitchen cooktop or related industry.
- Product Management Experience: You have 3+ years' experience in product management or equivalent.
- Leadership Skills: You have demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional, cross-cultural teams in an inclusive, results-oriented manner.
- Regulatory Knowledge: You have knowledge of EU kitchen appliance regulatory environment.
- Competitive Knowledge: You have a knowledge database of competitive landscape of Europe.
- Language Skills: You are proficient in English.
- Travel Requirements: You are willing to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally for business needs.
