PhD Researcher in Molecular Neuroscience

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD researcher to join our team at the Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular neuroscience and a keen interest in understanding the mechanisms that control neuronal membrane shaping.
The project focuses on uncovering the molecular function and interactions at neuronal synapses of selected proteins relevant for human diseases and involved in membrane remodeling. The proposed project will involve functional studies in genome-engineered human stem cell-derived neurons, interactomics, as well as bottom-up approaches with purified proteins and model membrane systems.
The position is initially funded by the NeuroCure Research Fellowship and is limited to 2 years. The working language is English, and the successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills.
