About the Role

The Educational Equality Institute is seeking a dedicated Language Teacher to join our team and contribute to our mission of empowering disadvantaged girls through education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to teach basic language skills to students.
  • Conduct online or in-person language classes for students, providing individualized attention and feedback.
  • Evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to develop and refine teaching strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their language learning goals.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners, with a focus on adult education.
  • Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education, with a commitment to social responsibility.
  • Fluency in German, with a strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
  • Having a language teaching certificate is highly valued, but not required.
  • Good level of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and students.
