Director of Public Relations - Entertainment & Cinema

Sky Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Director of Public Relations to spearhead our PR initiatives within the entertainment and cinema sectors, particularly emphasizing our OTT platform, WOW. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with crafting and executing comprehensive PR strategies, overseeing external agency collaborations, and evaluating the effectiveness of our public relations activities. Your position will also require close cooperation with various internal teams to ensure a unified approach to media budget oversight and external communications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute PR strategies tailored for the entertainment and cinema sectors, with a focus on the OTT service WOW.
  • Oversee PR campaigns, manage agency partnerships, and assess campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maintain a holistic view of media budget management.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor movements to inform PR strategies.
  • Work alongside diverse teams to synchronize external communication efforts.
  • Lead and mentor a team of public relations professionals.
Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or journalism.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of achieving results in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management skills and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in executing successful PR campaigns and conducting competitor analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to navigate a matrix organizational structure.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
