About the Role

Caspar Health is seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new features and functionality for our applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX, QA, Analytics, DevOps, and Architecture to improve teamwork and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to the improvement of development processes and best practices in code quality, test automation, APIs, CI/CD, and Software architecture
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
Requirements
  • At least three years of experience working with backend technologies
  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails in production
  • Broad experience with single-page application frameworks, preferably React Native and some Angular experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Focused on scalability, testability, and maintainability of deliverables
  • Hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for trying and learning new things
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Solid English skills
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with TypeScript and React Native
  • Container technologies (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
  • AWS or other cloud provider
  • PostgreSQL
  • NoSQL databases
