Department Overview
The Customer Project Execution (CPX) team is dedicated to the successful installation, commissioning, and handover of wind farms to our clients. Collaboration with customers and stakeholders is essential to ensure that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The EPC & Balance of Plant (BOP) division within CPX is responsible for overseeing the bidding and construction processes for BOP in wind energy projects. This includes conducting in-house basic engineering, preparing Requests for Quotations for subcontractors, and developing comprehensive technical and economic proposals for clients, along with providing technical support during the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Manage an international team of Project Managers, Specialists, and Engineers, offering mentorship, coaching, and performance assessments.
- Strategic Planning: Establish strategic objectives for BOP construction that align with overall project aims, collaborating with internal teams such as Bid Management, Contract Management, and Procurement.
- Performance Oversight: Monitor BOP performance, compliance, and cost management, working closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource utilization.
- Contract Negotiation: Facilitate the delivery of BOP sales packages and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and clients in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the BOP construction process, verifying compliance with project specifications.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and address construction-related risks, including potential delays or material shortages.
- Contingency Strategy: Formulate contingency plans to tackle unforeseen challenges during BOP construction.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in business or engineering is essential.
- Significant experience in business and management, particularly within complex EPC project environments.
- Demonstrated experience in an international context.
- Proficient in managing intricate contracts.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and leading complex, cross-functional teams effectively.
- Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven capability in driving change management initiatives, fostering the adoption of new processes and industry best practices.
