Role Overview
As a Guest Service Manager, you will report directly to the Front Office Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring outstanding customer service for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Front Office operations, inspiring and guiding the reception team to deliver a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.
- Lead by example, fostering a supportive environment where team members feel empowered to provide exceptional service and seek guidance when needed.
- Contribute to the financial success of the hotel by managing room rates, overbooking levels, and collaborating with the team to maintain high occupancy rates.
- Ensure operational efficiency and address any challenges promptly, maintaining a polished and welcoming environment.
- Exhibit a positive demeanor, even during challenging situations, to uphold guest satisfaction.
- Supervise various operational aspects during your shift, ensuring customer well-being and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate data in the Property Management System (PMS) and generate reports for relevant departments.
- Coordinate with other departments to manage overbooking and optimize guest occupancy.
- Ensure prompt and efficient handling of all incoming calls.
- Uphold safety and hygiene standards to protect guests and their belongings.
- Evaluate team performance and facilitate regular meetings to enhance service quality.
- Manage scheduling in collaboration with the Front Office Manager.
- Ensure all work areas meet maintenance and cleanliness standards, promptly reporting any issues to the engineering team.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and adapt behavior to suit diverse guest backgrounds.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment in a comparable role.
- Fluency in both German and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Familiarity with Micros Fidelio Opera or similar front desk systems is advantageous.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to daily challenges.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.
