About the Role

In this position, you will establish the Digital Twin Strategy for HARMAN Automotive and oversee the implementation of the Digital Twin ecosystem for the development and testing of automotive applications in a cloud-based environment. This role is pivotal in executing integrated cloud-based toolchains for development, validation, simulation, and vehicle data management.

Your Team

The leader of the Digital Twin team will manage a team of up to 50 engineers and managers.

What You Will Do

  • Develop the strategic and technical roadmap for the division's comprehensive Digital Twin platform.
  • Align the Digital Twin strategy with key stakeholders from Centers of Excellence, Strategic Business Units, and product domains.
  • Lead a team of Digital Twin engineers, cloud architects, developers, multiphysics simulation specialists, vehicle network simulation experts, and vehicle cloud infrastructure professionals.
  • Facilitate the integration of value-adding Digital Twin methodologies and tools into engineering processes through strong collaboration with engineering excellence and leadership.
  • Establish and implement data standardization practices, such as asset taxonomies, for key Digital Twin assets.
  • Provide a framework for data warehousing, curation, and user access.
  • Define the solution architecture for the Digital Twin platform, enabling scalable data services connected to various end-user applications.
  • Implement DataOps practices, creating data curation and governance processes that empower the engineering department to utilize the Digital Twin for development.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of relevant technical experience.
  • More than 10 years in leadership roles within global teams in the automotive sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud-based development tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with vehicle network simulation techniques for CAN, Ethernet, and other automotive networks.
  • In-depth understanding of software development processes in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with multiphysical simulations and associated tools.
  • Ability to articulate a vision and influence decision-making with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and customers.
