UI Programmer Job Description

Crytek is seeking an experienced UI Programmer to join our Hunt: Showdown development team in Frankfurt. As a UI Programmer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing user interfaces that enhance the gaming experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain UI systems for various consoles and platforms using CRYENGINE and Flash.
  • Collaborate with UI Artists, UX Designers, and other Engineers to ensure seamless integration and high-quality results.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and portable code, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Document source code and write test cases as necessary to ensure stability and reliability.
  • Contribute to technical and software design documents to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a UI Programmer, preferably in the games industry.
  • Excellent understanding of C++ and STL.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong software engineering and debugging skills.
  • Experience with writing custom controls, skins, and other advanced UI features.
  • Some knowledge of 3D math and game engines, preferably CRYENGINE.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
