Key Responsibilities

As a UI Programmer at Crytek, you will be responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and optimizing the user interface systems to work efficiently with supported consoles and platforms, utilizing CRYENGINE and Flash.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Deliver high-quality UI systems that meet the company's standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI Artists, UX Designers, and other Engineers, to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and portable code that adheres to the company's coding standards.
  • Document source code and write test cases as necessary to ensure the stability and reliability of the UI systems.
  • Develop technical and software design documents to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a UI Programmer, preferably in the games industry.
  • Excellent understanding of C++ programming language.
  • Experience working on UI-oriented projects.
  • Proficiency in STL (Standard Template Library).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong software engineering and debugging skills.
  • Experience with writing custom controls, skins, and other advanced UI features.
  • Basic knowledge of 3D math concepts.
  • Experience with game engines, preferably CRYENGINE.
  • Excellent team player and self-driven individual with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong English language skills, with excellent communication skills and a strong affinity for transparency.
  • Willingness to relocate to Frankfurt, Germany.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience working with consoles.
