We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rack Decommissioning Manager to join our team at A100 ROW GmbH. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for managing the decommissioning process of all media types, including disks, solid state disks, and flash cards.
Key Responsibilities- Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly
- Coordinate change management resources
- Guide, train, and educate data staff on best practices related to service owner issues
- Manage and deliver mid-size projects
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs
- Manage a diverse team of decom technicians with varying skills
- Provide weekly reports to the Cluster Manager
- Maintain the on-call schedule, coordinating absence and vacations
- Recruit and train decom technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Write and deliver performance reviews for staff
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience or education
- Experience managing IT infrastructure projects from initiation to closure, with experience in a data center environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
- Experience with project management best practices, such as PMI, Waterfall, and Agile
- Ability to successfully manage cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and varying levels of management
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint
- PMP Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, Safety training, or equivalent certification
