Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a dynamic project management organization in Germany? The Project Manager Jülich is dedicated to implementing Research and Innovation initiatives for both public and private sector partners. Our mission is to provide strategic consulting, project evaluation, and administrative support to address societal challenges. We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to enhance our IT Infrastructure department, which comprises approximately 1500 professionals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, implement, and manage both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for end-user hardware and software.
  • Deliver 3rd-Level support and conduct system monitoring.
  • Assist users in selecting tailored hardware and software solutions.
  • Oversee database and proxy systems management.
  • Develop strategies for IT infrastructure fortification and uphold information security standards.
  • Create and revise IT security assessments and frameworks.
  • Collaborate on firewall and cryptography solutions while implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in server virtualization and management for Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Expertise in VMware vSphere, anti-virus solutions, and related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with automation tools, hardware management, and SAN configurations.
  • Skills in project management and quality assurance.
