Overview: Are you interested in becoming part of a prominent and adaptable project management organization in Germany? The Project Manager Jülich is dedicated to executing Research and Innovation initiatives for its partners across both public and private sectors. They offer strategic advisory services, project assessment, and administrative assistance, playing a vital role in addressing societal challenges.
Role Responsibilities: As a member of the IT Infrastructure department, you will be engaged in the establishment, operation, and management of IT systems. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Setting up, configuring, and overseeing Windows and Linux servers
- Providing technical and administrative support for end-user hardware and software
- Delivering 3rd-Level support and conducting system monitoring
- Assisting users in selecting tailored hardware and software solutions
- Managing database and proxy systems
- Formulating strategies for enhancing IT infrastructure security and ensuring data protection
- Creating and revising IT security evaluations and frameworks
- Collaborating on firewall and encryption solutions while implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in server virtualization and management for both Windows and Linux environments
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere, anti-virus solutions, and additional tools
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with automation tools, hardware management, and SAN configurations
- Skills in project management and quality assurance
