Your Role:

  1. As the issuer processing Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide strategic assistance to the Sales team throughout various stages of the sales process.

  2. You will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and leading the development of proposal materials for both existing and potential clients, which includes facilitating preliminary call activities, conducting prospect research, preparing presentations, and compiling collateral materials.

  3. You will conduct value proposition sessions with internal teams to formulate compelling, quantifiable themes that will guide our responses.

  4. Completing and reviewing documentation in response to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) will be part of your responsibilities.

  5. You will create and lead pitch presentations for prospective clients, including storyboarding and developing engaging presentation materials, while coaching the bid team to ensure consistent messaging.

  6. Your role will involve completing solution design work to meet client requirements, collaborating with internal technical and commercial teams to craft a winning proposal.

  7. You will deliver product demonstrations tailored to prospect requirements, working alongside TSYS Product teams to showcase our solutions effectively.

  8. Facilitating the development of sales strategies in collaboration with other departments and partners involved in the sales process will be essential.

  9. You will work closely with Marketing and product owners to gather relevant information and materials for sales offerings.

  10. Identifying coaching and mentoring opportunities for less experienced Solution Engineers, providing feedback and guidance on sales support activities will be part of your contributions.

  11. You will assist management in coordinating strategic Sales Team activities that may not directly involve clients or prospects, such as team education and trade show participation.

  12. Compiling information and preparing reports on strategic sales activities and key metrics for management to present to the executive leadership team will be part of your duties.

  13. Staying informed about the current product/service portfolio and developments within the payments industry is crucial. You will maintain comprehensive knowledge of all applications, modules, Value Added Products (VAP) offerings, and systems sold by the supported Sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in the payments industry, with a significant focus on issuer processing.
  • Proficiency in the German language at a C2 level is essential, along with a good command of English.
  • A solid understanding of current IT trends, including cloud computing, big data, and APIs.
  • Experience presenting to mid-level and senior audiences.
  • Strong writing skills to clearly articulate TSYS value propositions in proposals and presentations.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Effective communication and listening skills to serve as a reliable strategic partner to the sales team.
  • A collaborative team player who supports opportunities across regions and mentors junior team members.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to enhance both internal networks at TSYS and external industry insights.
  • Analytical skills to identify prospect needs and develop tailored value propositions with clear benefits.
  • Technical knowledge is advantageous, including familiarity with solution architecture, integration patterns, and various Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs).
  • Willingness to travel to meet prospects and internal teams, expanding your professional network.
