POSITION: STORE FLOOR SUPERVISOR

Reporting To: Store Manager
Role Overview
The primary objective of this role is to support the store manager in ensuring a retail environment that prioritizes exceptional customer service, fosters employee morale, delivers training, and enhances sales and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant retail experience.
- Successful completion of the National Retail Hardware Association assessment within three months of employment.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the manager in ensuring adequate staffing across departments and support scheduling and timekeeping tasks.
- Monitor staff productivity, providing guidance as needed, and ensure compliance with all operational procedures, dress codes, and documentation.
- Contribute to performance evaluations of associates.
- Identify and coordinate project tasks for completion.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash drawer preparation.
- Act as a liaison between management and hourly associates, executing directives as required.
- Perform tasks typically assigned to associates across various roles.
- Address customer inquiries and assist with their needs.
- Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
- Operate the cash register as necessary.
- Assist with store organization, including stocking and recovery tasks.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

- Familiarity with construction, maintenance, electrical, repair, plumbing, forklift, and pallet jack operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Skills in assigning and evaluating work, recognizing under-performance, coaching, mentoring, delegating, planning, recordkeeping, reporting, supervising, and training.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- A positive attitude, effective listening skills, patience, and an approachable demeanor.
Physical Requirements
Frequent physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs., walking, standing, bending, reaching, and light grasping. Occasional demands may involve lifting over 50 lbs., climbing stairs, squatting, and firm grasping. The role requires effective communication and hearing capabilities. Candidates must be able to work scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends, while adhering to attendance standards. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role include adequate vision to perform job responsibilities efficiently. Manual dexterity is required for operating computers, cash registers, and RF devices.
Work Environment
Work is primarily conducted within the store; however, some tasks may occur outdoors in varying temperatures, from below 32 degrees to above 100 degrees. The work environment is typically fast-paced, with regular deadlines and sales goals. Associates may encounter extreme noise and vibrations occasionally. Potential hazards include burns, cuts, electrical, explosive, and mechanical risks. Associates may also be exposed to atmospheric conditions such as dust, fumes, odors, and inadequate ventilation. For safety, associates may be required to wear protective equipment as necessary.

Corporate Office (Core Hours) - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri.

Store Locations - Vary by location, typically operating from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM Mon-Sat and 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Sun.
