Job Summary:

Amplifon is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team in Hamburg, Germany. As a key member of our Supply Chain function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing demand forecasting and inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and improve German demand and inventory processes to identify areas for improvement and implement related actions.
  • Analyze sales and supplier demand forecast situations to ensure accurate system-generated forecasts and historic demand, trends, and deviations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, marketing, sales, finance) to achieve high demand accuracy levels and efficient inventory management.
  • Conduct high-level forecasting of sales and supplier demand.
  • Ensure products are positioned and stocked correctly to reduce inventory levels and meet Service Level Agreements.
  • Control stock levels to minimize inventory in the network and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Prepare reports related to demand and stock measurement by monitoring KPIs.
  • Manage Inventory Planning process to develop and implement inventory schedules and targets.
  • Issue timely forecast accuracy reports, providing details of root causes and external factors affecting demand, and work on improving forecast accuracy measures.
  • Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
  • Support logistics to create reports/KPIs for controlling different indices.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Management Engineering or Economics.
  • Solid working experience in Inventory Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Forecasting gained in Retail contexts or Large Organized Distribution.
  • Excellent knowledge of numerical analysis and statistical mathematical models.
  • Knowledge of key metrics of stock performance, turnover, margin contribution, etc.
  • Ability to use cross-functional skills to work with different stakeholders to manage and solve medium and long-term stock situations and problems.
  • Excellent knowledge of stock management (accounting and cost management).
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
