Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our core product team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing OSS features that make dlt a gateway to composable data stack. This includes integrating query engines, transformation frameworks, and table formats with our library.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement OSS features that integrate dlt with composable data stack components
- Collaborate with users to understand their needs and requirements for integrating dlt with their existing data infrastructure
- Work with customers on commercial projects where dlt is combined with existing data stack infrastructure
- Maintain the open-source project with the team, including reviewing PRs, resolving issues, and engaging with community contributors
- Strong experience in building data applications or products based on composable data stack
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data libraries such as duckdb, arrow, datafusion, lancedb, delta-rs, ibis, pyiceberg, sqlglot, kedro, and hamilton
- Understanding of the Modern Data Stack and its benefits
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with GitHub workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD services
- Experience with DevOps tools such as CI systems, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Digital Ocean
- Experience with machine learning and its applications
