Within the Advisory & Financing Solutions (A&FS) division, HypoVereinsbank provides leading capital raising, advisory, and financing services. We assist businesses in navigating significant strategic decisions by offering tailored solutions and advice in areas such as: debt funding, corporate finance advisory, rating advisory, financial sponsor solutions, patient capital, capital structure advisory, and sustainable finance. As part of our Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team, we facilitate access to local and international Debt Capital Markets for Financial Institutions, SSA, and Corporates. Our interactions with clients focus on delivering customized solutions for their wholesale funding operations and liability structures in a highly regulated environment. We offer our interns a valuable insight into this dynamic market landscape.
What you can expect from us
- Monitoring and analyzing trends in debt capital markets
- Contributing to client pitch materials and supporting documentation
- Preparing tailored market updates for clients in the Debt Capital Markets sector alongside macroeconomic insights
- Assisting in the successful execution of deals, including drafting deal statistics and summaries
- Tracking primary and secondary market flows for Financial Institutions and Sovereigns, Supranationals & Agencies
- Conducting research on industry-specific topics related to relevant issuers, focusing on Fixed Income products (covered bonds, senior bonds, and regulatory capital instruments)
- Maintaining and enhancing various databases
What we expect from you
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (4th semester onwards) or a Master's degree
- You possess strong academic credentials, preferably in Business or Economics, with a focus on Banking and Capital Markets
- You have a foundational understanding and interest in Debt Capital Market products, particularly those related to Financial Institutions
- You are interested in economic topics
- Experience with Bloomberg is desirable
- You have excellent English language skills (both verbal and written); proficiency in German and any additional languages is a plus
- You are proficient in electronic data processing tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You can manage your workload effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
