Android Software Architect

We are seeking an experienced Android Software Architect to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As an architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing innovative solutions for our clients in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop the next-generation Android In-Vehicle-Infotainment System, including roadmap definition for future Android-based platforms
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect and align new requirements
- Define, design, and model the software architecture, including interfaces between platform/base software and applications
- Coordinate the implementation and verification phases of the new Android-based IVI Systems with function owners, system, and software architects
- Contribute to the definition of architecture guidelines and review, approve, or reject submitted changes
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant electronic or information technology field, preferably with software development or software engineering elements
- Excellent knowledge of *nix operating systems, especially Linux, and several years of practical experience with Android on application and ideally on system level (kernel, system services, framework, and build environment)
- Evidence of at least five years' experience in embedded software development working with programming languages and build and collaboration tools, such as C/C++, Java, Jira, Subversion, git, gerrit, Jenkins
- A good knowledge of scripting and shell programming will be beneficial
- Self-initiative and solid communication skills are essential for this role
- Fluency in German and English is required
