Head of Project Procurement Refractive Surgery

About the Role

As a key member of the ZEISS Group, you will lead and develop a team of project buyers at multiple national and international sites, focusing on the Business Sectors Refractive Surgery, Digital Health, and Advanced Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive innovation and cost savings.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of global category strategies and ensure alignment with project procurement targets.
  • Lead the professionalization of the global Project Procurement function, improving processes and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs).

About You

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional with a strong background in strategic procurement, preferably in a regulated industry.

  • University degree in Business Administration or Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong business acumen, assertiveness, and ability to motivate a team across multiple sites.
  • Fluent English language skills; German language skills are a plus.
