Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, International Finance to join our team at Delivery Hero. As a key member of our International Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving profitable business growth and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Coach, manage and develop the International Finance team, including International FP&A and Controlling, Planning Excellence, and Analytics & Modelling subteams.
  • Financial Strategy: Develop and execute the International Finance team strategy to support profitable business growth and FCF generation.
  • Financial Deliverables: Drive critical financial deliverables, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasts, monthly performance reporting and the 5-year strategic business plan.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a key business partner to Local CFOs and International Business teams through value-based analytics, portfolio rationalization, and investment proposals.
  • Financial Reporting: Support and improve the preparation of the financial month-end closing under Management Reporting and IFRS.
  • Reporting Quality: Ensure financial figures submitted by Local Business teams are reviewed and contribute to the improvement of reporting quality.
  • Analytics & Modelling: Steer and guide the Analytics & Modelling subteam to develop long-term financial models for strategic planning, M&A activities, capital allocation, and cash management.
  • Presentations: Present annual projections and 5-year business plans accompanied by in-depth analytics to senior leaders.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership in improving and automating existing data models and business intelligence reports supporting growth and profitability.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Be the subject matter expert for International and related performance analytics; understand and analyze related trends (P&L, balance-sheet, Free Cash Flows as well as non-financials).
  • Collaboration: Promote collaboration within International finance to drive best practices, standardization and efficiency improvements.
  • Ad Hoc Initiatives: Execute ad hoc finance initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant finance experience with increasing levels of responsibility, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
  • Background: Background in finance, accounting, or any other related field.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to develop and execute a team strategy, as well as develop and coach talents.
  • Communication: Proven ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, subordinates, executive management & other critical stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
  • Team Motivation: Ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlines.
  • Financial Analysis: Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis and financial model building.
  • Hands-on Approach: Hands-on approach with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • P&L Management: P&L management and/or analysis experience.
  • Ambiguity: Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
