Your Role

As a **Software Engineering Intern** within our dynamic tech team, you will contribute to enhancing our customer experience through the development of backend or fullstack solutions. You will play a vital role in refining our Heartbeat App and the associated backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and fellow developers.
  • Identify, assess, and implement software solutions for our primary customer-facing applications.
  • Ensure the maintenance of critical business applications.
  • Promote a culture of innovation driven by experimentation within the team.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by minimizing technical debt and improving software quality.

Technologies Involved:

  • **Backend:** TypeScript, NestJS
  • **Web Frontend (for Fullstack role):** React, TypeScript, Vercel
  • **Mobile (for Fullstack role):** Flutter
  • **Cloud Services:** Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, PubSub, CloudSQL, Firestore, BigQuery)
  • **Monitoring Tools:** Datadog
  • **Infrastructure as Code:** Terraform
  • **CI/CD:** GitHub Actions
Your Profile
  • Currently enrolled in a university program, available for 20 hours per week.
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Initial experience in developing backend services using TypeScript; familiarity with React and Flutter is advantageous.
  • Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Keen interest in software engineering trends and a desire to learn best practices.
  • Agile and results-oriented mindset with a strong team spirit.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is a plus.
