Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Project Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our interdisciplinary project teams. This position involves representing the purchasing department and aligning its objectives with project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of achieving project-related material cost targets while ensuring adherence to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Oversee all purchasing activities and processes related to product, market, or development projects, including managing technical changes on a global scale.
- Conduct price estimations during the conceptual and bidding phases, initiate requests for quotations (RFQs), and prepare final supplier selections across designated material categories.
- Ensure supplier selections are in line with material group strategies, focusing on leveraging supplier expertise, innovations, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with supplier quality teams to guarantee manufacturability and quality compliance of purchased components, adhering to the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
- Facilitate internal and cross-departmental communication, particularly with Research & Development, Controlling, Quality Assurance, and Project Management teams.
- Utilize purchasing methodologies, processes, and tools effectively.
- Coordinate all essential documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: A degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of three to four years of relevant purchasing experience in an international context.
- Expertise: Background in industrial companies or manufacturing environments, preferably within the automotive sector, along with project management experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Proficiency in SAP (MM), MS Office, and CD knowledge is essential, while basic knowledge of APQP is advantageous.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both German and English.
- Personal Attributes: Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills, coupled with negotiation capabilities, conflict resolution skills, and a cost-conscious, independent, and structured work approach.
