Senior Research and Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research and Development Engineer to join our team at Occlutech GmbH. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for the innovative development of new cardiac implant devices that enable physicians to save human lives every day.
Key Responsibilities- Develop novel technologies and devices in close collaboration with physicians and external partners, with a focus on design and procedure development.
- Perform post-market and maintenance engineering activities.
- Conduct design verification/validation studies, bench testing, and technical documentation according to international medical device guidelines and regulations.
- Master or PhD degree in an engineering field, preferably in biomechanical or biomedical engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in an engineering department of a manufacturing company in a highly regulated environment, preferably R&D in a medical device company in the area of cardiology (class III devices).
- Experience in the whole development process for medical devices, starting with an idea, creating requirements, design, V&V tests, up to providing relevant documentation for submission to the notified body.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (level C1), German language skills are a plus.
- Proven leadership experience in the field.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Proactive and hands-on mentality with an open mindset.
- Open to international travels (up to 2 times a month).
