About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Engineer to join our team at Occlutech GmbH. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for the innovative development of new cardiac implant devices that enable physicians to save human lives every day.

Your primary responsibilities will include innovation and new product development, as well as common maintenance activities. This will involve working closely with physicians, marketing, and sales teams, as well as internal functions at our international sites in Germany, Turkey, and Sweden.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of novel technologies and devices in close collaboration with physicians and external partners, with a focus on design and procedure development
  • Post-market and maintenance engineering
  • Performing design verification/validation studies, bench testing, and technical documentation according to international medical device guidelines and regulations
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Master or PhD degree in an engineering field, preferably in biomechanical or biomedical engineering. You should have extensive experience (at least 7 years) in an engineering department of a manufacturing company in a highly regulated environment, preferably R&D in a medical device company in the area of cardiology (class III devices).

You should be an experienced team player who likes challenges, and acts like a mentor and coach to your team members, valuing knowledge transfer. You should be fluent in written and spoken English (level C1), and German language skills are a plus. You should have already proven leadership experience in your field, and good organization and time management skills.
