Claims Specialist (m/w/d)

We are currently seeking a Claims Specialist (m/w/d) to join our team.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Documenting and processing complaints from both internal and external sources (customers/suppliers).
  • Evaluating, asserting, and enforcing legitimate claims against contractual partners while defending against unjustified claims from third parties.
  • Conducting and facilitating error and root cause analyses, collaborating with various departments to develop effective solutions.
  • Preparing quality-related documents (8D and 6D reports) as part of the complaint management process.
  • Maintaining correspondence and communication with suppliers and customers in close coordination with the legal department.
  • Engaging and coordinating external service providers (e.g., experts, laboratories) during the complaint resolution process.
  • Contributing to the implementation of the company-wide patent strategy and managing patent documentation.
  • Supporting product development from the assessment of inventions through patent applications and defense against imitators.
  • Proactively participating in customer projects to minimize risks.
  • Enhancing the complaint management system and related processes in collaboration with the Quality and Operational Excellence Manager.
  • Compiling and generating complaint data, key performance indicators, and relevant reports.
  • Work locations include our facilities in Berlin.

Your Profile:
  • Completed technical training or degree with relevant professional experience, preferably in complaint management, quality assurance, or claims management.
  • Basic knowledge or experience in legal aspects related to complaints is advantageous.
  • Self-reliant and structured working style with strong analytical skills and a high understanding of quality.
  • Willingness to work at multiple locations.
  • Confident demeanor and effective communication skills at all organizational levels, fostering collaboration with technical and commercial project leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and to neighboring European countries.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B).
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications, with experience in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV) being a plus.
