We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our Fire TV team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH - C92. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features on Fire TV devices, focusing on improving the daily experience of millions of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of features on Fire TV devices, focusing on constantly improving the daily experience of millions of customers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement software architectures, coding standards, and source control management.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous deployments to ensure operational excellence.
About the Team
We are the Fire TV organization's Berlin branch, a team of 40+ members who own both client and service implementations for a number of domain areas. We are responsible for the roadmap we deliver to Fire TV for worldwide-spanning features.
Requirements
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience building software for embedded devices using Android or similar operating system.
