About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Financial Services Management Team as the Head of Financial Operations. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the Record to Report (R2R) operations, ensuring high-quality financial statements for national and international entities, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the R2R operations, supporting approximately 225 business units with various accounting services across three locations.
  • Oversee a team of around 113 FTE directly and 200 FTE functionally, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer centricity.
  • Ensure high-quality financial statements for national and international entities and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide process ownership for R2R processes and ensure governance based on a standardized ERP platform.
  • Design and implement strategies focused on standardization, digitalization, and automation, and foster a customer-oriented business support.
  • Manage the R2R tower budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, build and maintain strong relationships with customers, and ensure their needs are understood and addressed effectively.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, promote a culture of continuous learning, and foster a digital mindset and constructive cooperation to drive change and achieve results.

Requirements

  • University degree in economics with profound accounting/finance process and ERP knowledge, preferably including SAP S/4.
  • Several years of business experience in Accounting and Reporting.
  • Several years of experience in management/leadership position.
  • Profound knowledge about IFRS and German accounting specifics (HGB), record-to-report as well as accounting processes specific to the energy industry.
  • Experienced in an international environment and in managing and being responsible for all accounting issues in a multi-national corporation.
  • Ability to lead with passion, inspiring, motivating, and aligning people towards a joint target.
  • A trustful, integrative, and team-oriented personality with the ability to handle conflicts and critical situations.
  • Highest customer focus with proven skills for stakeholder management and problem-solving.
  • Ability to think in E2E processes and digitalization know-how with a proven track record.
  • Business fluent German and English language skills.
  • Willingness to regular international travel.
