Project Description

The successful candidate will work on the project "Metabolic interaction network of the human host-microbiota for context-specific disease". The project aims to investigate the metabolic interactions between the human host and microbiota, and their impact on disease.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Mathematics, Biological Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong background in computational tools and programming languages (Python, MATLAB)
  • Experience in machine learning, dynamical modeling, big data analysis, microbial genomics, genome-scale modeling, and metabolic network analysis
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High motivation and ability to work independently
What We Offer

The doctoral scholarship includes a monthly stipend of 1,200,- € plus a monthly lump sum of 150,- € for material and travel expenses. The scholarship is granted for 36 months.
