Cloud Database Software Engineer

This innovative database builds upon Aurora, a distributed and fault-tolerant database service that utilizes a self-healing storage system capable of auto-scaling up to 128TB in a single volume.

Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking software engineers with substantial experience in relational database engine internals. Familiarity with PostgreSQL development and an understanding of distributed database concepts will be advantageous.
About AWS Utility ComputingAWS Utility Computing (UC) delivers product innovations ranging from foundational services like Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to a continuous stream of new product innovations that distinguish AWS services and features in the industry.
As part of the UC organization, you will assist in the development and management of services across Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Applications within AWS.

- 2+ years of experience in database engine development within a recognized database system
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
- 3+ years of programming experience
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience in designing system components
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL internals
