As a Device Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the advancement of innovative silicon carbide power semiconductors aimed at revolutionizing automotive electronics.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and analyze current and future application requirements, ensuring they are met through cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, materials, and device innovations.
- Conduct TCAD validation for new device concepts while overseeing the comprehensive development and integration of our SiC MOSFET technologies, particularly focusing on Front End Of Line (FEOL) processes.
- Manage process runs, mask layouts, and component characterization in collaboration with both internal and external partners, assessing results against specified requirements.
- Facilitate the introduction of new manufacturing processes and equipment into semiconductor production, guiding them through to series release.
- Provide ongoing product support post-series release, assisting in process and product transfers within our global manufacturing network.
- Education: A degree in physics, semiconductor technology, material sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Profound understanding of standard semiconductor processes and manufacturing methods; familiarity with simulation techniques (including TCAD/FEM); experience in power semiconductor development, particularly in SiC, is advantageous; strong knowledge of statistical methods and problem-solving techniques.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit; characterized by a results-driven approach.
- Work Environment: Hybrid working model, with team members collaborating on-site three days a week.
- Motivation: High willingness to work independently and across various departments in a complex setting.
- Language Proficiency: Business fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
*In line with our policies, the gross annual salary for this position is based on a 35-hour work week, subject to collective agreement conditions. Additional performance-related pay, bonuses linked to company success, and benefits for the Bosch pension plan are also included. Further details regarding remuneration and development opportunities will be discussed during the application process.
