Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve exceptional Front Office performance and operational excellence in quantitative algorithmic trading and continuous power asset portfolio optimization.
  • Collaborate as a vital member of the Continuous Quantitative Trading desk, which operates around the clock.
  • Oversee the daily execution of a robust and compliant commercial performance across Uniper's European markets, including Continuous Intraday trading, both asset-backed and proprietary aFRR and mFRR energy bidding from the Uniper asset portfolio in Europe. Take a leading role in managing short-term exposure for Renewables.
  • Ensure seamless operational coordination with other Short-term trading desks and European Dispatching centers.
  • Engage in projects aimed at developing and enhancing Power physical quantitative trading at Uniper.
  • Participate in shift roles as required.
  • Report directly to the manager of the Continuous Quantitative Trading desk.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in trading roles, particularly in Intraday asset-backed or proprietary physical trading.
  • Familiarity with algorithmic trading and the optimization of renewable and flexible assets.
  • Strong understanding of short-term market channels.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks.

  • Knowledge of German, Swedish, or Dutch is a plus.
